IDEA Helps Launch a Small Business
Success
After participating in the Basic Business Plans seminar offered by the IDEA Center in Ulyanovsk, Emma Semagina developed and successfully defended her own business plan, received a municipal grant and started her own company.
Overview
Emma Semagina, a highly qualified university graduate, grew tired of a long and fruitless job search and living off unemployment benefits and decided to start up her own business. To equip herself with appropriate knowledge and skills, she signed up for the Basic Business Plans seminar offered by the IDEA Center in Ulyanovsk and learned the art of developing effective business plans. After defending her business plan in the City Hall, Emma Semagina received a municipal business start-up grant. She celebrated this achievement by signing up for Computer Fundamentals – the training that will give her basic job-related e-skills for better productivity and more efficient business management.
