A Quick Promotion
Success
After completing the Microsoft Unlimited Potential course in Computer Fundamentals at the IDEA Center in Vladimir, Albina Evgrafova was promoted to the position of a department head by her supervisors in Rospechat, the Russian state printing agency. The alumna believes that, to a large degree, she owes this promotion to computer knowledge and skills gained during the IDEA training.
Overview
Albina Evgrafova signed up for a computer literacy course at the IDEA Center of Vladimir regional academic library hoping to gain basic computer skills. Before long she began using her new skills in her work and quickly earned the reputation of a capable and proactive worker. Her supervisors in Rospechat, the Russian state printing agency, decided to promote her to be the head of the delivery department, responsible for delivering newspapers and magazines to all local news kiosks by 9:00 a.m. each morning. Albina’s MS Office skills immediately proved their usefulness, since she uses MS Excel to develop schedules and keep track of all deliveries and orders, and MS Word – to keep records of her department. The alumna firmly believes that her promotion is a result of the knowledge and skills she gained during the IDEA training.
