Success
After completing a computer training course at the IDEA Center in Irkutsk, Irina Komarova quickly put her new knowledge and skills to practical use by developing a short promotional video about the university where she works and posting it on the school’s website. This initiative was justly appreciated by the university’s administration.
Overview
Irina Komarova is the director of the library in the Department of Service and Advertising of Irkutsk State University. Thanks to IDEA and skills acquired there, now she successfully implements computer technologies in her workplace. The library is equipped with computers and uses IRBIS library automation software, and, besides taking the IDEA course in Computer Fundamentals, Irina Komarova has taken a number of seminars learning to use library-related applications. After completing the Microsoft Unlimited Potential course in Presentation Fundamentals in the summer of 2009, the alumna used her PowerPoint skills to develop a short promotional video and post it on the university’s website – an initiative much appreciated by her supervisors.
