Valentina Dorenkova: “Thanks to IDEA, I found myself in volunteer work”
Success
Even while Valentina Dorenkova from Ryazan was studying to be a manager, she felt restless and, in her own words, “didn’t understand the spirit of her job,” always wanting something more. She finally found what she was looking for when, after completing IDEA computer training, she decided to become an IDEA volunteer and help new trainees discover the digital space and the world of computer technologies.
Overview
Valentina recalls: “Informal interaction with the Ryazan IDEA Center team and taking the Microsoft Unlimited Potential course in Presentation Fundamentals taught me to structure my own thoughts, understand myself better, get a handle on a number of technical problems, and figure out how I could best use my new knowledge and skills. Besides the training helped me gain self-confidence and opened up new prospects and opportunities. I am very thankful to my instructor and to the entire IDEA Project for helping my find my passion and become an IDEA volunteer. I enjoy coming to the IDEA Center in my free time and helping other trainees discover the world of IT technologies.”
