Computer Fundamentals
Description Course: Computer Fundamentals is an introduction to information and communication technology, with a focus on computers and networking technologies. The course introduces students to the fundamental internal and external hardware components necessary for the operation of the computer. Similarly, it instructs students in the importance and function of the operating system, productivity applications, and networking communications technologies and their roles in enabling technologies for consumers and information workers. The course provides an introduction to and overview of word processing, Spreadsheets, presentation software, and Internet-related tools. Students leave the course with a fundamental understanding of the possible uses of the computer as a powerful tool and a basic set of skills necessary to operate the computer in a productive and meaningful manner.
