Constructing Websites as a Competitive Edge on the Labor Market
In early July 2008, the volunteer IDEA Center of Vocational College 39 in Ryazan held a course in Web Design Fundamentals for the students of the college. The course was held at the request of the school’s partner organizations to ensure successful professional training of the students and to give them a competitive edge on the labor market.
During the course, the students learned to create web-pages, process digital photos, work with Microsoft Office FrontPage, create animations and use the Internet. As their final projects, the alumni have been asked to develop websites for the college’s partners. For instance, Vladimir Tyrin is working on the website of his old alma mater, Mordovsky secondary school, and Dmitry Kondakov is developing a site for Technocom Company. Working on these “real-life” projects, the alumni are learning and practicing the basics of website construction, design and configuration. All of the websites will be completed and submitted to the respective partner organizations in the nearest future.
