The Municipal Culture Center of Magadan (formerly the Union Palace of Culture, opened in February 1964) is the principal recreational club and culture center of the city and the entire region. Its staff team consists of competent specialists who are constantly on the look out for new, contemporary forms, formats and practices of entertainment, recreation and leisure management.

The Municipal Culture Center organizes and holds stage performances, shows and theme events for various age groups. Annually the Center holds more than 250 events with attendance of up 30,000 visitors. The Center boasts twenty-five special interest clubs and amateur performance groups for local residents.
